Duane “Bang” Ludwig out, James Wilks in against Sadollah for Fight Night March 26th.

Due to an injured sternum, Duane “Bang” Ludwig has been forced to withdraw from his UFC Fight Night bout with Amir Sadollah. Verbally agreeing to step in for Ludwig in the Seattle bout is The Ultimate Fighter season nine winner James Wilks.

Said UFC President Dana White, “Bang Ludwig is out with an injured sternum but James Wilks has verbally agreed to step up against Amir Sadollah for UFC Fight Night March 26. TUF 7 winner VS TUF 9 winner. Should be fun.”

Nik Lentz vs. Waylon Lowe Added to UFC Fight Night 24 on March 26

A late addition is in the works for next month’s UFC Fight Night 24 fight card, as lightweights Nik Lentz and Waylon Lowe are expected to square off at the March 26 event in Seattle, according to MMADiehards.

Lentz (20-3-2) edged Tyson Griffin in September to remain unbeaten in five UFC bouts and 13-straight overall, while Lowe (10-3) rebounded from a debut loss to Melvin Guillard with decisions over Steve Lopez and Willamy Freire.

UFC Fight Night 24 is headlined by Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and also includes Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson, Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig, and Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan.

UFC Fight Night 24: Spike TV Announces Main Card for Ortiz vs. Nogueira

March 29 may mark the final fight in the UFC career of “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz as he faces Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC Fight Night 24 on Spike TV.

With UFC President Dana White describing the fight as a “must win” for Ortiz, the pressure has never been on more for the former Light Heavyweight champion to walk away with a win.

In addition to the previously announced main event, Spike TV officials announced Wednesday that the televised card will also include bouts between Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson, Duane Ludwig vs. Amir Sadollah, and Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan.

The preliminary card includes the following fights:

Welterweight bout: Dennis Hallman vs. TJ Waldburger
Middleweight bout: Mario Miranda vs. Aaron Simpson
Heavyweight bout: Sean McCorkle vs. Christian Morecraft
Bantamweight bout: Michael McDonald vs. Nick Pace
Welterweight bout: John Hathaway vs. Kris McCray
Featherweight bout: Alex Caceres vs. Mackens Semerzier
Heavyweight bout: Jon Madsen vs. Mike Russow

Luiz Cane – At the crossroads.

Luiz ‘Banha’ Cane is promising the performance of his career at UFC 128 against Karlos Vemola – because if he loses the fight, he loses his UFC contract.  Cane is coming off back to back defeats and knows that a third consecutive loss would undoubtedly be the end of his current UFC tenure.

“The fact that I am coming from two defeats motivates me even more. Since I moved to The Armory in August, I’m training a lot, I’m very focused on keeping my job. I can tell you that I went back to school and I’m learning every day more and more to get back in this next fight Luiz Cane as the best you’ve ever seen,” he told Tatame.

“We know much about Vemola. He is a very strong guy and aggressive, who I will come with everything as soon as the bell rings, try to close the distance to take me down and use ground and pound. Either way I’ll be prepared for anything.”
